Hello and welcome back to the newsletter dedicated to breaking down the intersection of Marketing and AI in 5 minutes or less.
Here's what you’ll get today:

AI News for Marketers:
Instagram feels left out — Instagram is working on a chatbot that includes up to 30 AI generated personalities that answer questions and give advice. Other platforms have also released chatbots with mixed results. As Gen-Z does more of their shopping on platforms like Instagram, it will be interesting to see how chatbots impact shopping trends, and how this might change the way brands advertise on these platforms.
LinkedIn launches AI copy suggestions — which hopefully means less “I’d like to add you to my professional network” messages. LinkedIn says the tool is geared towards marketers and “uses data from a marketer’s LI page and campaign manager settings including objective, targeting criteria, and audience to suggest different introductory text to the ad”.
Wordpress added an AI assistant, called the Jetpack AI Assistant, that can edit and generate blog posts and other content within Wordpress. While this means you can create content faster natively within the application, it also means that there will be more generic, out of date copy out there. Stand out by simply not being a lazy bum, and edit your work before you publish.
Tool: Optimizely
Optimizely is an AI-powered platform that helps marketers optimize their website and landing pages. It uses machine learning algorithms to test and optimize different page elements, such as headlines, images, and calls-to-action, to improve conversion rates.
Tip: Game the Twitter Algo
Want your Tweets to get more attention?
Here’s a checklist for gaming the Twitter algorithm:
Reply to replies as much as you can
Avoid links unless engagement is very high
Increase the probability users will spend 2+ minutes on your tweet
Earning retweets is still one of the most powerful things you can do. Referencing and tagging other accounts in your tweets is a great way to do this.
Include videos that people will watch >1/2 of
The algo rewards what it deems high quality tweets, and penalizes those that break its quality rules. Proceed accordingly 🫡
Twitter Threads
Yea, Vision Pro seems cool (and I bet it has deep links).
But the iOS 17 privacy changes are a Pretty. Big. Deal.
We watched all the videos, read all the docs, attended all the Q&A sessions…and then wrote the full report so you wouldn't have to ✌️.
